Costs, Fees & Payment

  • The minimum service call fee is $120 which includes, up to or less than, the first hour. 15-minute increments charged at $30 apply thereafter. No extra call out fee added unless residing more than 30 minutes driving distance away from my base location. This will incur an extra $30 travel fee added on top of the service call fee.
  • Any car parking or road toll costs will be added on top of the service call fee also.
  • The service call fee for one computer is capped at 3 hours, however, servicing more than one computer will incur further charges.
  • A diagnostic fee of $60 will be charged instead of the minimum service call fee of $120 when a computer or component must be repaired through the products manufacturer, when a diagnosis of the actual problem is all that is required by the customer or when the computer must be taken offsite for major repairs.
  • Remote Desktop Support computer services via Team Viewer will be charged in 15-minute increments at $30. A reliable working internet connection is required. Not all repairs can be performed using this method and will require a computer technician onsite.
  • All prices include the Goods and Services Tax (GST) charged at 10%. Prices may change without notice.
  • Payment must be made on completion of the service call with Cash, PayID or Direct Deposit (via emailed invoice). Direct deposits must be received within 7 days after the invoice date. EFTPOS facilities are not available, and cheques are accepted.

 

Warranty, Privacy & General Information

  • A 12-month labour warranty is included with all new custom-built desktop computers. All hardware components and software supplied is covered by the manufacturers standard warranty periods. Check packaging and individual company websites for details.
  • All collected information about a customer or business is used strictly for contact purposes only.
  • All data located on a computer or device is not accessed, viewed, used, or stored in any way except when data transfer is required.
  • All product names, brands and logos are trademarks of their respective companies.
  • All quotes are produced free of charge and are valid for only 7 days after the quote date.
  • All supplied products, labour and delivery costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • All warranty periods begin from the date of purchase as printed on the supplied invoice.
  • Any data lost due to hardware failure is NOT the responsibility of Kristian’s Komputers. Back up your data regularly.
  • Any hardware damage caused by an electrical power surge or lightning strike is NOT covered by warranty. Contact your insurance company and electricity providers for help.
  • Customers must NOT arrive on premise unannounced under any circumstances. An appointment must be made prior to dropping off a computer or for any other reason. Dropping off a computer unattended is NOT the responsibility of Kristian’s Komputers.
  • Keep all invoices, paperwork and manufacturers packaging for all warranty returns and tax purposes.
  • Ordering a new computer requires a 75% deposit of the total quoted amount to cover parts and delivery costs. Funds must be cleared into the bank account before work will commence. The remaining amount is payable in full once the job is complete.
  • Removal of any labels from any item, tampering or physical damage caused by the customer is NOT covered by warranty.
  • Software problems are NOT covered by warranty and must be referred to the software manufacturer.
  • The diagnostic fee of $60 will be charged for any call out that is NOT related to faulty hardware which is still under warranty.
  • The title of goods does not pass to the customer until the invoice amount is paid in full.
